Welcome. Thank you for subscribing to A Friday Buffet and my tiny corner of the big, enormous internet. I write about this, that, and everything else. Topics range from gluten free food, living with celiac disease, my passion for fashion, personal moments, and the weekly Buffet, which features a handful of items and articles I’ve enjoyed during my frequent browsing of the world wide web.

Hello!
This past week and weekend featured what I’d describe as a fall heat wave stretch of excellent fall weather. Finally! Once again, work and life took a hold of me and it’s only now, a few weeks later, that I had a moment to write to you.
Thank you for waiting! I really appreciate it. Much has happened since our last chat - I assume you’ve been following current events - so I’m going to keep this quite light and, well, short. It is Tuesday after all and we (all of us) have things to do!
In case you’re curious, Pepper is living her best life during these brisk fall days and loving her yard sprints amongst the leaves. She seems to be wildly offended by Halloween decor, barking at every skeleton, goblin, and pumpkin we pass on our walks, so now we definitely know she’s our dog. ;) But nothing will stop me from a funny photo-op so please enjoy this photo of Pepper with Oscar the Grouch. Ha!
Now that it’s mid-October, the heat and humidity have seemingly slipped away. Hooray! I’m more than OK with it. Layering season, coat season, sock season; all of the goodness that comes with chilly air has arrived and I’m fully embracing it. So, without further ado, a handful of fall pieces I’ll be wearing on repeat throughout the season.
Alex Mill Mel Herringbone Jacket - I love the brown corduroy detail on the collar and cuffs of the sleeves. It’s comfy and great to wear over a tee or a mid-weight sweater.
Citizens of Humanity Gaucho Vintage Wide Leg Jean - A unicorn pair of denim that isn’t too too long (I am 5 feet tall) and goes perfectly with all sneakers. For a wide-leg style, I still find them very flattering with colder-weather layers.
Golden Goose Slide Sneaker - A splurge item purchased in LA, I continue to profess my passion for this brand. The sneakers are truly the most comfortable and I love this style with socks for the fall/winter.
Mango Pocket Denim Overshirt - An impulse purchase after seeing it on Instagram, this shirt (#shacket) has quickly become one of my favorite fall items. I love that the neutral khaki tone works with all pant styles and colors.
Everlane Corduroy Oversized Shirt Jacket - In case the Mango one isn’t for you, I’ve been eyeing this one! Love the three color options and the slit (hidden) pockets.
Birkenstock Boston Clogs - Never anticipated wearing this style post-college, but what’s old is new again and these are so comfy! The suede is so soft and yes, I’ve been wearing them around the house with socks.
What are your favorite fall items? I’ll be sharing more go-to goodies throughout the fall and winter because Coat Season is truly the best. I love that my go-to jeans and tee is elevated instantly with a fun jacket, long coat, or cozy sweater.
As always, thank you for being here. On the logistics side, I’m strongly considering changing the delivery day of these letters as Fridays do not always work out! With that, there may be a title change, but you will read it here first! Stay tuned and have a great week.
Cheers and joy,
Mollie
